Hireup, an online platform revolutionising the way disabled people find, hire, and manage support workers, experienced exponential growth, prompting JDV Projects to design and construct their new 2,400sqm headquarters in St Leonards, Sydney. With over 100 employees in two years, the need for a supportive environment that fosters growth and inclusion was paramount.

JDV Projects focused on ensuring that the new environment was accessible and inclusive for all employees and visitors, regardless of ability or unique requirements. Innovative solutions for functional space-flow and accessibility were considered to meet statutory requirements as well as the unique needs of the team. A central hub with an extensive break-out space and an outdoor deck served as a gathering spot for social interaction, with the large kitchen and seating area acting as a dual-purpose zone for casual meetings and agile working. Height-adjustable desks, accessible power outlets, and careful cable management contributed to ease and functionality, while reducing potential trip hazards and obstacles. The outcome was a bright, open workspace that exuded positivity, wellbeing, culture, and collaboration, perfectly catering to the diverse and growing team at Hireup.
